For those of you who’s never had or made bavarian mousse before, it is seriously a smooth, creamy delight. Skipping the most common kind, which is strawberry, I’ve decided to use coconut cream and fresh mango puree. Yum!
I’ve talked about how good coconut is for you with the healthy fats(MTC-middle chain triglycerides) and the abundance of ketone bodies which are essential for maintaining proper brain function.
Mangos has a wonderfully high amount of dietary fibers, potassium, and some protein. Each mango also contains over 200% of your daily vitamin C requirements, so, for those of you who are looking for a good orange alternative, mango is a great way to go. To top off the mango goodness, it also has a good amount of vitamin A, B-6, K, and E.
I made a coconut mango bavarian mousse cake, substituting some heavy cream for coconut cream. Coconut has such a creamy, rich, and nutty flavor that I truly believe it’s a great alternative for some of the fats(butter, or heavy cream) that are in your desserts. Enjoy!
